Hi I’m Laurie the creator of Redposie
my vintage and home decorating business located in St. Charles Missouri. Redposie is where I can express my love to “Create Life Beautiful with everyday things” and share it with you.
A big part of my business is doing custom painted furniture for my Clients and Designers. I get to know my customers real well, their test in home decor so when I come across a piece of furniture that I think a client will like I will contact then to let then know what I got in and would they like for me to send then a picture of it before I custom paint it and put on display in my store. This way if they do like the piece I can paint it to their request.
I love the earth
and all of it's beauty and am trying hard to be a good steward by keeping the earth beautiful and unpolluted by doing small bits ie… florescent bulbs, turning off electronics, recycling, composting, and reusing. ( I drive my family crazy)! I live with my husband Mike who is the IT in the house an now a webmaster. My daughters are grown and out of the house on their own. My eldest daughter, Taryn took the plunge and moved to China to teach English. She had just graduated and jobs were scarce and she needed an adventure. She delayed her marriage and went to the other side of the world. So far, she loves it. My middle daughter, Shea is also and adventurer and moved to Mexico to teach English. She is in a small town with no post office. She is there with her cat, and her new husband who wanted to take part in her adventure. I am so happy that all of the girls love to travel and see what else there is in the world to see and to learn about. They are just lovely! My daughters all speak a few languages, I don't know where they got that gene. I tried and tried but I think moving around every year and a half just messed my speech and my ears.
I sew and quilt and do crafty things.
I can't do to many due to costs of crafting. Have you seen scrap booking? Wow! that requires a lot of supplies. I cook, I love to cook. Sometimes I get sick of cooking the day to day stuff, so every time I hit the library I check out the cooking books to get some different foods going. Still working on the house little by little………I figured out that Mike will give me one large project a year before Thanksgiving. This is the project that has no crabby, done
Redposie
As much as I Like being able to show Redposie’s vintage products and share decorating tips online I still wanted a venue that would give me an opportunity to meet others who admire, collect and decorate with vintage things so I open my own store. Redposie is located at 431 McDonough Street St Charles Missouri. St Charles Mo. has a long history of wonderful vintage shops that I could grow my business with folks who are as passion about the world of vintage as I'm.
