If you like a thinner look just add a little water and stir. Clean the item you want to paint with Dixie Belle White Lightening or surface Prep, take a damp brush, you can use a chip brush, special brushes designed for chalk painting or whatever brush you like to work with and paint a very thin coat. It will dry very quickly. Some items will need a second coat so after about 30 minutes add another coat.

Dixie Belle Paint is porous by nature, so if you want an uneven look for example in cavities or detailed areas, then glazefirst.  If you want an even smooth look, ie. Flat surfaces, then clear coat first and then glaze.

1.Mix 2 level Scoops of sea spray™ to 8oz of Dixie Belle Paint. Mix another scoop of if needed. You want a thick, brownie batter-like consistency. If using larger amounts of paint, add scoops a couple at a time and stir.
2.Using a paintbrush, dab and smooth the bristles to from crests and peaks, like ocean waves.
3. Once Tacky, gently brush down the crests and peaks, calming the seas and creating texture. You can also leave as is, keeping the seas stormy!
4. For more Dimension, when dry, simply add another paint color (with or without sea spray) or glaze of your choice, then sand! EASY PEASY!
