How a project multiplies
Making your house a home can be a frustrating endevour. You see all the home magazines and you tend to drool with all the possiblities. Then reality sets in your husband says those famous lines ” I can’t do countertops you need a professional” and you think what year??? and who can even return a phone call let alone finish a job????. So your stuck with your ugly 1970 counter tops- minty green in your pretty tan kitchen. So, what about painting them with Rustoleum paint in 16 beautiful colors. You bring that up-no, why don’t you wait to get what you want??? Again what year???? So your stumped! I will probably get motivated and for $22.00 try the paint. And maybe if they look awful then my carpenter husband when he is motivated to don his tool belt would all of a sudden figure out how to install them. But until then- Moving on…..
I needed to update the flow of the hallway to the bedroom. Carpet was stuck out in the hall and the flow wasn’t quite right I thought and since I am on a totally limited budget and with $35.00 I took out the carpet. I think it made a world of difference to the whole scheme. Moving o………n in the bedroom new baseboards. (The old 1970′s were just worn out and ugly). They are cut and nailed and the results are mind blowing. Low cost.
New sheet linoleum for the small master bath…..no such animal anymore. I am not a grout lover after I have had to regrout our kitchen floor 2x already so i thought easy clean up linoleum. Manufacturers have deemed it too old fashioned so the choices are just Boring! Most of the tile I have already have in my old houses. What to do? I looked at ceramic tile for a 5×6 room $350.00 just for tile. OK, but then I’m stuck with the old sink cabinet for eons since my husband is not in the mood for demo work and revamping old plumbing. (Free Labor) not happy labor but FREE! Again, a project that you would think could and would be a piece of cake. Until I gather say $1,000 or so I made do with a trip to Target and Home Goods for new towels and some pretties.

Nice blog and some interesting information, I found it really by mistake looking for something else. Have bookmarked it and will be back soon.
