Recipe for making homemade furniture polish

Antique dresserThis is an easy recipe for making a homemade, environ-friendly furniture polish. In fact, producing a polish product by using natural ingredients only is a great idea to avoid those commercial and toxic products. Firstly, you need an acidic substance to for cleaning purposes such as lemon juice or white vinegar. Secondly, you need an oil for moisturizing and conditioning purposes such as olive oil, coconut oil or jojoba oil.

Use the coconut oil for everyday use for ordinary pieces. Olive oil may be used instead of the coconut oil as it is not costly. For high-level pieces that need deeper conditioning, the jojoba oil is the best choice.

1/4 cup of Lemon Juice or White Vinegar

3/4 teaspoon of oil

Mix the white vinegar and the oil in a bottle. Preferably, use a spray bottle to make the polishing easier. That is it! Spray your precious pieces with this handmade polish and clean them with soft cloth.

I polish a lot of furniture at the Redposie store so I'm always using this handmade polish. I really can't remember the last time I purchased a commercial polish.
