Posted on

Here is a easy Saltwash IOD Mould Craft Project that can add some flair to a Ikea $0.99 Galvanized steel Socker plant pot.

  • Mix a small amount of saltwash additive in any white paint and apply it as base coat for the pot.
  • Apply IOD Clay Mould  with wood or tack glue. (lettering optional)
  • Next apply any color paint of choose over the saltwashed area including the mould. On this pot I used Duck Egg Blue by Dixie Belle Paint

The story of ” The SOCKER PLANT POTS”

By Ikea Designer Sarah Fager
“For the SOCKER series, I was inspired by old-fashioned milk jugs, the kind that you still see along small roads in the Swedish countryside. Galvanized steel keeps the products beautiful even after years of intensive use. Most of the products in the series are stackable, which is good both when transporting to the store and when storing at home. Put together, these features make SOCKER a clever, functional and decorative series, for a greener home.”
